We stayed in Bongaigaon at Hotel Jahnabee Regency on arriving on 25th Dec 2016 night at 10.45 PM.

It was almost 11 PM by the time we went off to sleep and it was very cold at night.

Having almost covered Chennai to Kolkata 1787 KMs and from Kolkata to Bongaigaon we had covered 1037 KM we had almost covered 3000 KM of our trip. 

The real action was to start even ahead at Arunachal Pradesh. 

Here we were in Bongaigaon in Assam.

Assam is one of the cleanest states and people are very friendly and we had great experience.

Now you should know how much my family loves FIAT apart from me, well just have a look below at the photos;

My wife & 2 kids happily gave the FIAT Palio a real nice clean bath and made it look spick and span clean.

Ofcourse the Palio looks dull & faded but that did not deter them from cleaning it.

What an attachment for Palio & FIAT.

It was time for us to bid good bye to the hotel at Bongaigaon and we settled our bill and paid.

Time for a group photo, one for the road.

We started at 10.30 AM from Bongaigaon Assam and we were to head to Tezpur.

Starting Odometer Reading was 62405 KM at Bongaigaon.

After coming to this main highway from the hotel road we have to take a right to head towards Tezpur.

Very interesting signboard below. In the right most corner it says Guwahati 240 KMs and shows take left sign and in the left most corner of the signboard it says Guwahati Go Straight 196 KMs. Well there are more than 2 ways to reach Guwahati.

We came across this wonderful huge tree which had huge bee hive and underneath the tree there was a Lord Shiva & Lord Ganesha Temple.

We just stopped and visited the temple. Kids had again real fun using the borewell to pump up water and we offered the water on Lord Shiva's Linga.

Guwahati was so near by but we were headed to Tezpur. Tezpur was 146 KMs away. Time was 2.05 PM.

On this highway we had a huge company of convoy of Army Trucks and they were infront and behind so many. We kept going and at one point the road takes a left turn from the main highway and a direction shows us to take a road to Tezpur.

This road isnt all that great but you have no other options. 

We found Highway-15 Dhaba & Restuarant and it said Authentic Assamese Food. Well we tried out the Assamese Vegetarian Thali and it was interesting.

The Hotel Dhaba guys were very friendly & courteous and took good care of us.

We enjoyed the experience and the ambience and food. What impressed us was the use of Brass Glasses and Brass Plates and how they had so artistically had carved out the tomato and Onion ad radish etc. 

Tezpur was 90 KMs away and the time was almost 5 PM.

Tezpur was 44 KMs away and the time was almost 7 PM.

We finally reached Tezpur at 9.40 PM. It rained heavily and it took us some time to find a hotel & accomodation for the night stay.

Starting Odometer Reading at Bongaigaon on 26th December 2016 at 10.30 AM was 62405 KM.

Closing Odometer Reading at Tezpur on 26th December 2016 night at 9.45 PM was 62688 KM.

Total distance traveled from the hotel from Bongaigaon to the hotel in Tezpur was 283 KMs.
